Both maps above are of vintage 1847 - 1855.  The town of Lincoln didn't become the Logan County Seat until the spring term of 1856 (see L. B. Stringer: History of Logan County, Illinois 1911, p. 326; also Stringer: Mt. Pulaski 100 Years, p. 17).
